Headlamp alignment

Hi,

I had replaced my cracked and corroded headlamps with some new jobbies, held in place with cable ties, fitted with Nightbreakers..
Anyway, I forgot to note the beam pattern before I replaced them, and now they are pissed...One seems too high. :shock: :roll:

Any chance anyone has noted the main & dipped bulb beam pattern height ?

Quite a few tips on doing it yourself but as a first, you'll note that each headlamp on dipped, has a kick up to the left? That kick should begin at kerbs edge on an average road. The beam shoiuld light the way but not light up drivers heads. That should give you a starting point at least. Set the other at a similar height to start with.

Then refer to: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=uk+he ... 56#imgdii=_" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The pattern and height can be clarified on level ground in front of a blank wall. This is all dipped setting, which is what the MOT will look at.
