Over last few days having trouble dropping down gears to 2nd...usually have to stop, select 1st and start again which can be awkward in some situations. Everything else is fine, gearbox rebuilt in 2012, only done about 3k miles since then. Not got a chance to look into it (with my lacking mechanical skills) until Saturday.

Any suggestions/hints/tips? learnings from your experiences?

If its adjustment (and might be), all you need to know is in WIKI under 'manual gearboxes' - includes stripdown of gearchange mech and adjustment.

Was reading through it this morning...most is like a foreign language as I'm a visual person..have printed it off, it'll make more sense when im lying on my back under the van tomorrow (hopefully)

Its just thorough - in practice its very straightforward.
