The heater control lever on my T25 water cooled does not go all the way to right (only about 3/4) so cannot benefit from full heat, also the fan squeaks so I need to get access to it in order to either oil it or repair, would welcome any advice on how best to tackle this ?? Tks

Usually the wire has bent behind the adjustment lever. Someone else should remember how to remove the panel (mine has been bodged many years ago so is of no help). Squeeeeking fan is a dash out job though.

Tks, was hoping to get away without removing dash by somehow getting some wd40 or similar to reach area. Not sure where the wire is sticking, but will have a look at your advice if I can get access. Rgds

No cure though. If the fan is old (typically 30 years) the brushes will be worn and it'll already be drawing too much current on startup. The only proper solution is to fit a new one. It doesn't take all that long to get dash out once you get started. Its a good thing to do to keep a fan that isn't old, lubricated from time to time, but not with WD40. Needs contact cleaner.

I agree with CovKid that it's fairly straight forward. I'm not brilliant with the tools but had the dash out and then the fan out, fixed the fan and put it all back together in a morning.
