Seat Swivels

OK... its "pooh" or get off the pan time for me, i've been prevaricating over this for waaaay too long now, progress on tarting the bus up is stalled pending a resolution... so would appreciate a few opinions to steer me straight.
I could get a pair of westfalia ones second hand for about the 250 mark - but after a quarter century of use would I be better off spending another £170 or so getting spanking brand new ones from Brickwerks.... Thing is, my eyes are watering at crossing the £400 threshold, that more than my current pair of sofas cost! (& they have had 14 years of daily use) stretches the cost/benefit analysis a bit...
A couple of new sportscraft ones are available at £325 delivered but I'll be trimming my battery box lids which sort of counterbalances the ease of just bolting them in. That & i'm still paying more than second hand westy ones...
I liked the look of the Promek ones http://www.swivel-seats.com/general-pur ... rpose.html & at £120 or so for a pair the price is good - but a llttle bit small. relative to the picture would use them flipped with lever to the front, reckon they would drop just inside the existing runnners, but still sit on the top of the box. tacked in place, with a new pair of salvaged runners welded to a couple of cross bars on the top an maybe some welded tabs for more support - either that or new steel plate on the top to make it wide enough... Locking mech would also need to be modded as used this way it would lock side/side rather than front/back. If only they were 90mm bigger...
alternatively some newer salvaged ones modded to fit - the Espace ones look like good candidates, maybe £50 or so for a pair, but i'm spending way too long looking at online photos trying to work out dimensions most look like the seat will end up too high.
I hoped i might find more on this in the WIKI but no luck. So opinions & ideas please... particularly on Sharan, Galaxy, Alhambra Espace etc bases. I'll be sticking with the Multivan Captains seats regardless so base & seat transplants are ultimately of less interest. I need to finalise a plan...
cheers,
Jim
