So im soon going to tackle the rust on my outer sill and i need to get a replacement panel
The one i was looking at is this
http://www.alanhschofield.com/ourparts/ ... 09293.html
which is quite steep at £125.
I noticed this online which also claims to be original quality and has same part number
http://www.serial-kombi.com/en-GB/trans ... 992-n38120
I assume at that price the difference is it doesnt include the floor closure part (impossible to tell from the photo angle)?
Anyone know the difference?

Always buy genuine panels where available. The cheaper one says origional quality which normally with pattern panels means it might sort of fit if you mess around with it for a few hours. The first one i bought for my rhd went in the bin after 2 hours of fettling.

In many cases you are correct but not in this instance,
The pattern outer sills from either these or krappers are verygood and dont include the closures ( you dont want these fitted to the outer sill as it stops you from doing the job easily, would surmise that the lower side panel is also shot along with the inner closures ? ,do a few pickies as there are easier cheaper and better ways to do this

Cheers - yeah lower side panel and inner closures are shot too. Can you still buy the lower side panels? If so where can i get one.
Is the problem access when the floor closure is attached to the sill?

PS posted some pics a while back but nothings changed since then as im waiting for some time/good weather to do this.

Also joined a welding course in the mean time so hopefully my skill level will be good enough by the time i get round to this...

its more to do with how you fit the rest around it as well as the item itself as when build they were assembled in a different order to the way you or I would have to add a genuine sill.see this

most vans I do need this, so any search will show variations of the method
