Hi Jed,

the 2.1 poptop will give us bewteen 160 and 180 on the motorway, cruising at around 60. Raise this to 70, and I would start to look for gas around 150/160.

Went up to Northants the other wee. full when we left. 120 miles up, 10 miles while there, 40 odd miles back....not run out, but took nearly the 40 l, so not many more miles left in her..
(170miles, steady cruise)

Filled up, did remaining 80 miles, then the small journeys round town and to work and back. Much faster coming home, and half hour crawling down M11. Still got 140 out the tank.

Jed - don't forget Steve's advice to run on petrol nce a month / 6 weeks for about 10-15 miles. The camper got exceedingly lumpy, although better now. I tend to do one journey to work a week on petrol. Always switch to gas before stopping....starts better on gas from cold.

I am expecting lots of "don't everswitch to petrol", and won't start on gas...but am realising every engine is different - the above is how it works for us!

Nice cheap motoring - great, isn't it!!

yeah make sure you run on petrol i do mine once a month for a good 10mls seems to run great afterwards and as emma says it does get lumpy i usually wait for that then switch to petrol give it a good blast and its sweet as a nut
my tank is 65l and i get between 170-200mls around town and 200+ on a run all depends if you want more power or economy usually i sit around the 60mph mark it normally works out at 18-20 MPG for round town and 20-22 MPG on a run which roughly is 100 miles to £10

Sorry Jed, struggled with this initially as our van is in kms.

We fill up after 200 - 220kms which is 150-170 miles.

We have a 2l AC & have got approx 19mpg in the past, currently getting 17mpg on short runs.

petrol?
whats that?
ive bought £12 worth in 3 years,
i just switch it over to petrol for 1/2 mile every 2000 miles, just to be sure its still there......( but i lent someone my petrol pump for 18months a while back and couldnt switch over, all was still well)
petrol pipes deteriate if they are dry, quickly, so keep an eye on them if you are not using the expensive stuff regular......
