Hi,
I'm considering purchasing a roof from Pop Top Roofs (http://www.poptoproofs.co.uk/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) but, given that they are near Newcastle & I'm in Bucks, they are not exactly convenient for a visit. Has anyone here bought one of their raising roofs (or decided against it?) and have any views about their products or the company?

My first impressions, through a telecon and some text responses is quite good but that doesn't help me with the quality of the product. If anyone has one of their roofs rather nearer to me and is willing to let me have a look, that would be great.

I'm sure they'd be willing to give you the names/numbers of their clients, if you asked.
The alternative is to locate a roof, and either do it yourself, or get someone else to do it. As I've just done this, I'd say that unless you can do the work yourself, then the costs work out much the same.

Bought one of eBay and fitted it my self. I'm in MK. Basically it's simple enought. Just need balls of steel when cutting a hole in the roof. Recommend buying a riv nut tool. The instructions are "pooh", but I was told they are all being redone. Ask for a copy!. We're really pleased with it. If I was doing it again I'd make a better job. They do deliver but that can take a week or so. My experience has been good after a year. Can't really compare to others on the market. I was tempted at the time by space roofs, very slightly more expensive.
