Did I break my brakes?

Hi,

When I bought my van a few weeks back it didn't seem to have any brake fluid leaking into the drivers footwell but it did have a big old split in the vacuum t-piece and pants brakes. Since then I have replaced the t-piece which has vastly improved the brake efficiency. However I know seem to have fluid in the footwell, it's definately not water. Should I have bled something? Is it too much vacuum? Coincidence?

What do you guys think? A garage has said suspected master cylinder but if it's just a case of bleeding I'd prefer that.

Cheers Josh

It has already bled - 4 hr wait at A&E for it.

Look to see if the reservoir has overflowed and dripped down first - it may be a result of your repairs at t'other end.

Unfortunately....more likely to be the clutch master cylinder...the fluid level drops until it hits the take off on the reservoir.
