blown dash LEDs

Hi folks-just wondering if anyone has any experience of these things? Fitted dash LEDs all round a few weeks back-all working well and a big improvement on the standard bulbs. Yesterday i fitted a new 12v cigarette lighter/ outlet socket. Through my own laziness i did this sithout disconnecting the power and predictably blew the fuse! Put another fuse in once i was done and everything came back on....except the LED dash lights! So, I'm wondering if in the process of shorting the circuit I also damaged the LEDs? I am now wearing my dunce hat and sitting in the corner.

If you've still got the bulbs, try putting one back in to check the circuit in case you've disturbed something, eg connections on lighting switch.

Thanks for that-went back for another look. I'd taken a spare fuse grom the top of the fuse board above the relays to replace the one i fried. Turns out they arent spare fuses-put a new one in and hey presto! Was quite confusing as in the haynes it says fuse 16 is the panel lights! Oddly enough next to that fuse is another one next to it which looked a bit dodgy-replaced that one and the fog lamps started working and the rear window heater switch lit up-however the light on the rear heater switch doesnt come on and theres no power getting to the heater element-suspect a duff switch...closer to solving another mystery-all part of the fun!
