Hi,
Does any one know if the blue printed circuit on the instrument cluster is the same for petrol and diesel engines.
Thanks Dave

in a word no. glow plug light off the top of my head, rev counter works differently between diesel and petrol.

Thanks, mine is a 1.9 petrol with no rev counter and because the electrical plug is wired for a petrol engine I thought the glow light would not be connected and everything else would work. :?:

Don't quote me on this but I would have thought that a diesel PCB (without Rev counter) would work on a petrol van (without Rev counter) - if that's what you are asking?

yes that was my main question.....thank you, would the oil pressure be different between a petrol and diesel engine.

Oil pressure is just a switch so that should be the same ...... I'm assuming that you just have the single oil pressure switch and not the complicated buzzer of doom system ??

I sure I have the buzzer of doom as I have two oil pressure switches.

Ah - I think you have just exceeded my knowledge ....... what year is your diesel van?
I can't find any info in Bentleys on later model diesels so can't be sure ....

My T25 is a 1.9 petrol

buzzer of doom circuit is specific to fuel type, but the circuit is seperate to the flexible circuit board on a hard board mounted in the speedo and the connections to the circuit are the same so other than the glowplug circuit the flexi boards are basically the same for same years, so as long as you retain your speedo with it's bod circuit it should all work the same
I have a good petrol flexi board if required for 86on my vans, basic one no clock

Hi, I am sure my problem is in the circuit within the speedo as every thing else works on the cluster.

So, what is the actual problem??

Hi , my oil light does not come on when switching on the ignition. all other thing's work on the instrument cluster.
The wires back to both oil pressure switches to the instrument cluster are ok,
I have put the wire to ground from the pressure switch near the cylinder heads, but still the oil light on the cluster will not work.

Does the light/buzzer come on if you disconnect the other oil pressure switch and rev the engine above 2000 rpm?

I have bod circuits both petrol and diesel
