Can anyone help with the decision of which blown air heater to fit and what model? There is a choice between Eberspacher and Propex I believe.

Where would be the best place to fit it?

welcome along, hows Rodders and Grandad ?
"heated" debate will start below :D

I prefer derv ebber's, as derv is safer than petrol or gas

mines in the passanger foot well, as this provides an easy solution to venting and exhaust issues

Advantage of the Eber is that you *should* always have fuel to run it as it taps into the vehicles tank.

( Diesel)ebberspacher, because its the only one you can legally and safely have on whilst moving... and its soooo much cheaper than propex to run.

and you dont have to be corgi reg to install it

the truma, propex and webasto blown air heaters are all legal to use whilst driving, they are fitted to coaches, food delivery vans and many more applications

I don't need it on while driving- my van's plenty warm from the heater! Propex for sure. Petrol van why a*** about with derv tanks in spare wheels when you just fit a t piece to the cooker propane bottle? New ones are better than the old ones and only 300 quid with a 2 yr warranty. Will last forever and less stuff to go wrong than ebers i have heard.

try eberbasto e-bay shop or google it. Graet service

propex! you can get a brand new one with warranty of 3 years for about the same as a 2nd had ebber! i've had both, no end of bother with the derv burner, you'll already have gas so why not! yes they do use a bit but it's worth it! with propex you'll get instantanious heating as apposed to a bit of a delay while cold air is pushed about!! as for the fitting you need to be corgi registered to do anything with gas in a van, you should be registered to bugger about with electrics. as with all things don't do it if you don't know what you are doing!

i would sooner have a propex anyday,
had one for 6 years now
less hassle than a ebber.
