AGG - basic requirements?

Obviously I'll need the engine ... and the ECU ... and the engine loom. I'm looking at possibly getting a whole car from the 1996-98 era, in which case I'd just pick bits as I needed them - but cars are way more expensive than engines (£200+, as opposed to £50-80 for a motor), so I'd rather keep things as cheap as poss (as usual).

Is that all I'd need - engine, ECU and underbonnet loom? (I've looked for the link thing on Petrol Alternative Engines, but it seems to be broken) ...

[E D I T: forgot to say: mine's a diesel, so I shouldn't need anything in the way of bellhousing, input shaft, starter, flywheel, clutch etc.]

My conversion was an engine only. I had to purchase a lot of miscellaneous parts to finish the conversion. I will buy a donor for the next one. I will sell off what I don't use and scrap the rest. mark

Motor Cable loom
AFM
Air Intake Temp Sensor
ECU
Immo. Box + Ring Antenna + Key

Great stuff, thanks.

I'll go for a hunt around on BY too.
