Could someone point me in the direction of the washer pump location on a 1.9 Petrol, Assume it must be up under the dash somewhere?
Many thanks,

It's attached to the washer reservoir under the floor on the n/s front wheel arch, just forward of the wheel. Access is from under the van!

Just to jump in on this... save starting a new thread.
My windscreen wiper washer pump isn't working... I cant here any noise to indicate that it is. Is there a fuse/relay for it that might be broke? where should I start for fault finding! be gentle
Cheers, Josh

Have a look at this info on Brick-yard for fuse numbers (depends on if you have old or new type fuses)?
http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/VehicleSpec ... /fuses.htm
But I think if the fuse had blown you'd see other faults (like wipers not working) - are there any other problems?

In that case I'd be looking at testing the switch on the wiper stalk - make sure that it is working ok (you'd need a multimeter for this and a Haynes/Bentley manual to get the correct terminals) - would you be up for that?

will give it a shot! got a haynes manual and a multimeter. Does the haynes (its in the van out on the road. In the cold!) tell you what you need to poke with the multimeter on which setting? Trouble is with the multimeter, I never know if getting a reading and the result is a good thing or bad!

This pic is from the Bentley book (just cos it has the names of the parts on it - Haynes just has numbers)
You'll need to be a bit careful - I have found that wire colours can be wrong - so take with a pinch of salt but the switch terminal names will be correct;
So, you can see from the pic that the input to the Washer/Wiper switch comes in on terminal '53a' and the washer motor comes off the switch on terminal 'T' ..... so pulling the washer motor stalk function should (if your switch is working correctly) connect terminal '53a' to terminal 'T'
So - you'll need to set your multimeter to 'Continuity' mode to test that that the switch is working;
Here's some information on what 'Continuity' mode will look like on your multimeter;
http://www.ladyada.net/library/metertut/continuity.html
So - to do the test - you need to remove the connector off the washer wiper stalk switch (I'm pretty sure its the cable on the opposite side of the steering wheel to the wiper/washer stalk - you'll need to remove the plastic cover off the steering wheel column to get to it) then 'test' that terminal 'T' has continuity with terminal '53a' when you pull on the wiper stalk (to get the washer motor function).
