Odd running!!!

Hi, we have had a few running issues with our van for a while now. We have totally gone over the van but still have a problem. I have put up a video of the fault. For a bit of background, it is a 1.9 dg, the compressions are all spot on, it has a 2e carb which I have cleaned and setup as per the Haynes manual with a new fuel cutoff solenoid. It has new plugs, leads, coil and powerspark electronic dissy. All the time you are accelerating it purrs but on idle and light throttle (30ish in 4th gear) it hiccups! Anyone seen this before or have any ideas?????
Thanks in advance!!!

Idle misfire
worn or incorrectly gapped plugs
Faulty HT leads
Incorrect ignition timing
Vacuum leak at the inlet manifold or connecting hoses
Perished, split, crank case ventilation hose

The filter is brand new, all above has been checked or replaced. It seems to me that it would misfire under load if it were electrical? I wondered if it maybe a carb issue as it only does it on the idle jet but it's ok on the main jet? Having said that, I couldn't see anything wrong with the jets!

I have found that eliminating the causes, leaves only the solution regardless of how illogical it is.
Timing is set at idle
The amount of air in the idle mixture is the only adjustable thing.
adding air will cause a misfire.
have you found which plug is misfiring?

Just revisiting this today as It hasn't really improved. Today I checked and replaced the plugs (NGK BP6ET), inspected the leads, all seem ok and have only covered 2000 miles or so, I'm not sure which cylinder has the misfire as its so brief I cant seem to pinpoint it. It seems to go through a period of hunting aswell as the misfire. The little fuel filter in the carb is new, and ive stripped and cleaned the carb. Ive taken another video which I hope is of more use!
Im really anxious to get this sorted before the camping trip to swanage in april.

Rotor arm?
Distributor cap?
Cheap to replace and will eliminate the possibility.
A timing light will show you which plug is misfiring.

Both the rotor and cap are new, I will check the misfire with a strobe at the weekend.
