hello , hope someone can help me , i had my 1981 t25 8v gti engines ecu chipped for more power/torque , but when it came back it wouldnt start , so i have had to get hold of another ecu complete with immobilizer and transponder , it now starts up but wont run for more than 1/2 a second before stalling , ant ideas , i can hear the fuel pump priming

sounds like a immob issue, are your new immob and ecu a paired set? Do you have vcds to check the fault code?

yes i bought it all from a dealer who said it was a set , i will check with my vagcom to see what it can find , would it fire up if it was an immobilizer issue ? ,

immob fault normally shows itself by letting the engine start, the cutting it off after.

thanks for that , i have an immobilizer by pass PCB so i might try fitting that , see if that works
