What size clutch do I need?

I need a new clutch but not sure if it's the 215 or 228mm one that I need? My vin number is WV2ZZZ25ZDH058221 if that helps. Also I see brickwerks do a basic one for about 100quid and then a Black Diamond one for 250. Worth the extra money?
Thanks folks

Personally I've always weighed up the state of the clutch when its out. I alternate between complete clutch (and Lux reckoned the better) and just a friction plate if release bearing seems in good nick. Lot cheaper. Never ever had any issues doing that in nearly 30 years. Garages will always change the lot for new because they don't want it coming back but old-school mechanics inspect.
Generally if the clutch fingers aren't damaged or worn to wafer thin, face in good condition and no noise or play in release bearing, you only need the plate - under £50. The paranoid will rightfully replace all.

Thanks for that CovKid. I'll bear that in mind. Any idea on what size I need? 1983 seems to be the cut off point for early/late, sometimes it's the one, sometimes the other. I seem to remember finding an online vin identifier once a few years ago but can't find it now. Anyone got a link?

Early engines certainly used a 215mm clutch but I think (like me) you may need to establish what you've got before ordering. Most are 228mm and not all engines/gearboxes are original so things get swapped. Once you know, you'll know what to get in future. I keep a new clutch under the bed (of all places) - well, you never know and Sundays are not a good time for a clutch to go.
