So If i was looking for a respray plus propex fitted and perhaps new underseal and prepared to travel ... who would you recommend? And approximate prices.

I have been looking at getting mine done and one that keeps popping up is Coast VW in North Devon. If you do find anyone really good I'd be interested to know.
