Handbrake handle

At the risk of sounding stupid, is the t25 handbrake supposed to have a handle? i.e. plastic or rubber (or other) grip

Since buying our van earlier this year, I have been wondering if it is supposed to be bare metal (like ours) or not. The surface rust that we've got can be sorted, but the join in the metal on the back of the handle can be somewhat annoying when having to pull the handbrake on and off all the time.

Yes, it's supposed to have a moulded plastic handle.

I used a rubber handle bar grip from an old mountain bike. Fits like a glove and looks good.

Just cut the closed end off so you can still use the button ;-)

I was thinking wheelbarrow tubular handle grip, I haven't one to check it against any more though.

Liking this idea, as there are plenty of grips out there that might work (and perhaps look a bit different too)

Thanks for all the info :)
