Ok, so im following this ...
https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Co ... ing_system
Im refilling my coolant anfter fixing a hole in one of my pipes so the vast majority of my coolant is out of the system. Iv just tried to fill it back up using that guide and i only got 5 or 6 litres of coolant back in before the radiator just bleeds fluid out consistantly.
Have i filled it up already?
I was expecting more or less the whole 17 liters to go back in...
Any advice would be great
Cheers

If you've only disassembled the pipework at the back it's unlikely that you've fully drained the system. It takes a fair bit of effort to get all the coolant out of the radiator, the pipes that run front to back, the heater, and all the other nooks and crannies. In fact I'd be surprised if you've lost even half of the coolant. So only finding room for 6 litres isn't a surprise. That doesn't mean you shouldn't bleed it 'vigorously' to get rid of all the air though. Once you've got it mostly filled, take it round the block a couple of times, using some highish revs, and then top it up again when you get home.

I would say that this is fairly typical. Whenever I've drained mine at the rear I have also had problems refilling with anything more than about 7 litres.
In subsequent refills I have had to go to great efforts in order to ensure that there was 'space' for a full 8 litres of neat antifreeze.

Martin is right. Must admit, I've always tended flush system through with a hose, chuck the 8 litres of antifreeze in neat, then top up with water until system is full and bled. I just let it churn itself around.
It may not be the best way to do it but at least you know the mix is right.
