Time has come to finally fit power windows....it's too far to stretch to the other side. Had anyone got any good recommendations on any aftermarket kits?

often thought about doing this but just for the passenger side,easy for me to drop the window from the drivers seat,never got any further than that though

They cost a bomb. Alternative (is what I've got) is to fit enclosed motor units that fit straight on to winder shaft. VW Beetle shaft is identical so any that fit bugs in that way will fit a T25. Anything that fits in the door itself, well you're on your own there - its all major mod work.

Mine work ok. Wouldn't be without them now.

Where did you get your beetle winders from?

Ebay. Original 70s stock but it was some time ago. Not seen anything like it since but they do exist.

Look at 70s bug type ones as thats the most likely way to find a workable solution

I fitted a pair of bmw motors to my original window mechs,if I remember correctly, they came froma bmw e30 touring rear doors.... Used the guide on the caddy forum to mount the motor to the mech and bought an aftermarket window switch kit, in the kit the switches handle the power but I relayed the whole setup so there wernt painfully slow! Will be doing the Westy at some point, probably when I do the central locking!
