Broken down and waiting for aa
But need some poiinters
Driving along but felt a bit sluggish then strange rattling/clunking sound, engine cut out and ignition and battery lights come on. Tried to restart but just get clunk from starter motor, changed rotor arm and dis cap but still same. 12.44v at battery.
Any ideas need to know whether to take home or have dropped off at garage

Battery is a little low considering it has just been charging. Clunk from starter says to me that you aren't getting enough power to the starter. Possibly battery and/or charging problem.

Aa man has diagnosed seized engine, put it in gear and rocked it and no movement of rotor arm
