Has anyone fitted a pop top lift assist strut. Go Westy do one, but i can't find anyone doing them in the UK.

I often have a board or 2 on top, and it's damned difficult to lift the roof. More muscles would help of course!

Just fitted a set from CVC. Very easy to fit and do the trick very nicely. I went for the 'medium' strength; this makes lifting my roof with bars fitted and a 10ft board on the roof a doddle. Putting the roof down is a new experience; it needs a gentle pull to bring it down, and if you let go at any point the struts hold the weight of the roof where it is. Really good bit of kit and easy to fit.
