The belt that runs around the water pump and alternator has just snapped on me and I'm not sure what/where to get a replacement or even know what it is I'm meant to ask for. It's not a V belt type and it doesn't have aircon. Any advice gratefully received. Many thanks in advance

Take broken belt to GSF and say I want one of these that hasn't broken and they will measure it and then sell you one probably for about £5!

Thanks guys. I got it sorted. It was a 6PK923 and widely used on a number of vehicles. Got me a spare too just in case
