Split Charger to fusebox wire

In refurbishing my power wiring I have found I have a split charger fitted but one of the wires is not connected. It goes from the relay to the fusebox area and has a male spade end which I would guess has been connected directly into a relay port.

Now I have read one of the split charger wires needs to be connected to the 'No Charge'/'Exciter' wire of the alternator/battery light circuit so I am wondering if it has been linked to that at some point. One van I had before had a similar wire but I can't remember where it was or what colour.

Exciter wire is blue from alternator. Could be it was originally connected to that.

It will go to the load reduction circuit spades at the rear of the fusebox. Slightly different arrangement to alternator method but still ptevents fridge connection during engine cranking or ignition off.

Thanks. I don't have a fridge but I read it kills unnecessary circuits when starting the van (lights etc) if I understand correctly.

The manual says relay 8 for that circuit so I will have a look later today.

We went away over the weekend and managed to flatten the battery(ies? i they are doing anything) with the fridge.

It's time for a rewire I think.
