AGG into my 1.7d

Hi All,
I've recently managed to trash my recently installed 1.9d engine that was mated to my 1.7d 5 speed diesel gearbox - long story due to a loose bolt !!
I liked the economy, but not the rattle and noise of a oil burner.
Would love to go down the Scooby route, but funds are tight so I'm thinking the cheapest easiest and most sensible looking option is to replace it with an AGG engine and would like some advise pls :
1. Can I use the existing fuel tank ?
2. Does anyone have an idiots guide to installing an AGG to a diesel gearbox with a wiring diagram.
3. What mpg and top speed am I likely to get ? I've got 16" wheels.
4. My understanding is that the mechanicals are a relatively straight forward swap and it looks like I have most of the parts, being a diesel. With the AGG I don't have to modify the chassis - is that correct ?
The hardest bit is the wiring.
5. What bits do I need to source in addition to the engine - (key ECU harness etc)
I appreciate this may have been covered previously, but some advise from someone who has carried this out ( and has driven a converted van ) would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Steve
