Have been thinking about this for a while. PS2 converts 240v back down to 12. So with my inverter jumpin it from 12-240 then PS2 240-12. All that inefficientcy.
Have seen this which is a cool idea but is quite pricey for what it is. Any1 know how to build their own?? Or anywhere else that sells em

no expert mate not at all but wouldnt an inverter just be the same? seems alot of cafufall to me for the same thing

i'm running a tiny inverter that cost £20 and jus 2 wires n tis all hidden away. I can see why it's good but downside you're round ya mates house n fancy a kwik game u cant jus plug it in!

I see your point about the inefeciency but how much power do they take anyway ?

Id rather keep my PS2 intact and use the invertor if i ever want it in the van.

invertors suck the batterys,if you get a new slimline ps they run on just under 12 volts anyways

Hiya , just joined forum but have completed fitting what you are on about.

As someone else said the slimline PS2 runs from a 12v adaptor. replacement for car use simply has cigar lighter plug. In my bus the whole thing including 15" lcd is mounted inside a flight case than can be locked and provides ultimate protection. As for wiring, the lcd is also 12v so I have them wired to a slave battery under the passenger seat. This is fed by dual charging circuit (switchable) and a solar panel from Maplin. Flightcase was most expensive part, but totally worth it. Hope this helps.[/img]

I have a early ps2 in my van all i did was open it up and remove the converter inside it and solder two wires in to the conection after the converter and it works fine!!!
