1984 T25 with an Elecrolux 122B Fridge

Just got a camper van with an Electrolux 122B Fridge which I can't get working. Have taken it out, turned it upside down and have yet to try and start it. How do I check if its solely gas or gas & 12v or gas, 12v & 240v. There doesn't appear to be a switch to isolate it. Also where the 240v comes in there is a small consumer unit and next to it is a 'gadget' i've got no ideal as to what it is (see pics). Finally is there an expert in Herefordshire who could have a look at it.
Thanks

Where does the red cable go & can you post a pic of the front of the fridge

My guess is that the box is a battery charger connected to the 240v electrics to charge the 12v battery/ies when on campsite electric hook up. Have a look in the downloads section for instruction manuals for various fridges

Thanks for the replies
The red wire is 240v external supply. Have checked on the net and the silver box is indeed a power supply from 240v to 12v. From there is a cable going to the leisure battery but this is only like a 5amp wire!! Is this sufficient?. I have now got to trace where the fridge cable comes from because there is no power to the fridge. I still can't find out what an Electrolux 122B fridge does. I've got a feeling that there is no 240v supply to it. Also I don't think the fridge works which is a problem if I have to replace it as the flue is on the left on the old but on the right on the newer fridges.

Following on from my last post do I need some sort of relay in the cable coming from the PSU to the leisure battery. What stops feed coming from the leisure battery back to the PSU.

Today I took the burner apart. The jet was clear. So cleaned it all up put it all back together, tried it but no joy. The igniter gives a good spark but the burner doesn't light.
Should I be able to smell gas ( I can't)
If the thermocouple was faulty would it stop gas getting to the burner
If it is the thermocouple where can I get a replacement.
Thanks

Are you holding the gas knob in?
Faulty thermocouple would stop it from remaining alight when you release the knob.

I am holding in the knob. When I Press the igniter I see a good spark. Should I then be able to see the flame if it lights?
Thanks

Try this - pull your knob off and put a piece of card in the bottom of the hole, this has the effect of allowing the spindle to go in further as the knob sometimes fouls on the facia before it bottoms out opening the valve.
Are you certain that you have the gas turned on?
Why did you turn the fridge upside down? (Which old wives' tale have you been reading)

Thanks to all who have given great advice. Yesterday I took the burner assembly apart as described in the excellent video. Just needed a bit of cleaning, the jet was fine. So put it all back together but would not light. So I tried again today and what do you know, its working maybe not getting as cold as I had hoped but it was working. So again many thanks to all who have contributed.

Garry, I only got mine working a couple of weeks ago for the first time after two years since we bought it. It just took a long time persevering with the process of holding in and clicking. Perhaps it just takes a while for the pressure to get the gas through?
What I still haven't got to work is the electric side. What I do have is melted connections to the relay that feeds it...
