Replacing glass cover of Skylight

I wonder if anyone can help me.
I have a Devon T25 pop top and the other week a branch fell on the skylight and cracked it.
I was going to get one of those white Fiamma skylights from JK, but the gumph said it does not fit apertures of 35cm and I would need to modify.I thought this meant I could cut a bigger hole on the pop top, but then I saw a post on the Forum saying that you can't widen the hole in a pop top, due to the metal sub frame running through it.
If this is right, what is the best thing to do? For instance, can you get replacement glass (perspex) for the old skylights?
My thanks to anyone who can shed any light on this for me. RobW.
