Wiper relay...

Hi all, I upgraded my wipers with the intermittent relay slotted it in and away i went, brilliant, but over time I developed intermittent petrol gauge, this has now stopped all together, the indicators light have now packed up along with the oil light/battery light on start up and the 5 flashes from the thermostat (that needles never worked, job to do!!) to cut a long story short is the relay goosed, or have I missed something during the instalment process,
