Hi guys,

Having a bit of trouble with bad idling on my 1984 t25 (1900cc petrol).
I have narrowed it down to the idel speed control valve (it was stuck solid and had green all over the conections) so im looking to buy a new one. But i cant seem to find them anywhere. I have posted to a few breakersyard sites and i found a vw beatle one that looks identical. But wasnt sure if that would be a transferable part.

Any help you be great!

Cheers
James

It depends on which carb you have DF engine with a Solex or DG with a Pierburg.

Hi bigherb,
I am 99% sure I have a do engine with a solid care.

The van isn't at mine and it has the manual in, but i will check in the morning.

Thanks

Then yes they are the same as the later Beetle/Bay ones. VW part number 049 129 412C if you want a cross reference. Available from the usual suspects JK/Heritage etc.
