Hi all.
just returned from sunny Woolacombe and the 3-way wouldn't work on the gas? Any idea's why it dont work on gas will be appreciated.

Usually down to a partially blocked jet......the flame being insufficient to keep the thermo couple latched.
Otherwise its an igniter fault.....where the probe has burnt away or 'auto igniter' (if it has this type) is faulty.....westies have issues with the push button switch not giving a precise action between power sources. Can be cured by lubing the mechanism.

Also (Westy) note* good connection required on the bullet fuse (B pillar) 8 amp fuse next to driver on L/H/D vehicles.

Obvious I know,the van must be level for fridge to work on gas.

My fridge works on gas all the time. The only time I would use the fridge any other way would be if I had electric hook up (I have had this twice in nearly four years of ownership.) This business of ''The fridge must be level at all times to work on gas'' is nonsense to me. Whether bopping along winding country lanes or doing 70mph on a motorway my fridge works great on gas. I have used it on 12 volt a couple of times as an experiment but reverted back to gas afterwards.

and has it got a gas supply
and is it turned on
and is the flue blocked
and can you see the spark etc etc
oh and they will light on most any anngle just that the cooling effect is compromised by the angle of the fridge but as said they work driving along and stay lit for weeks ,well mine does and if its level enough to sleep in the van the fridge will work

I can see the flame burning blue , but nothing happening ---- no cooling ?

Ok, does it cool on 12 or 240 volts

Baffle in place in the flue at the correct height? Takes quite a while for cooling to take an effect also. I light mine day before going away and then only shut it off for refuelling stops. Never bothered with having van level - it isn't such a requirement on the round tube flued fridges as it was on the old square flued ones. (Info taken from manufacturers service sheets)

True - I just assumed that it did as there was no mention of it.

I have the same problem on our rm212 ,works fine on electric 240 and 12v but not on gas even though it lights up, although I have noticed the blue flame looks kinda small and yes the bottle is full.
