A quick one, the sill on my van (drive side, opposite the slide door) at the bottom has a bit of rot in it and needs replaceing do I have to rip out the inside cupbourds, cooker, sink etc etc to do the welding. Not sure if this is the case it's just that someone said I would have to......and I really really dont want to start ripping it all out if I can get away with it. Any help on this matter would be smashing great super, look what you could of won. Cheers

I had the same problem i did not want to take the stuff out but had to in the end its not difficult as you think about 2 hours to take out about 1 hour to put back gives you a chance to clean the back of the fridge ect. When the repaires are done you can waxoil the inside.

Cheers Simon not really what I wanted to hear but pretty much what I thought, Still it sounds like not such a hellish job and you've got a good point about the fridge cleaning and wax oil. Thanks for getting back to me. Regards

if its just a hole and not too bad you can cut out ALL of the rust, treat any not so bad stuff with rust encap(if you get a flapwheel on it first)weld a patch in, grind it off, filler/stopper it, paint it. if its beyond repair put a new panel in (dont be scared) its as easy as it looks, and you learn things at the same time!! bargain!

Just get it out then you know you have removed all the rust mark the wires you remove with masking tape to where they go and the job is done right its really worth it the guys who welded mine did a great job.
