JX wont start when hot.

Hi There
Hope someone can help?

I have a 1.6 JX Diesel and when cold it starts first time every time you only need to turn the key once.
But when I take it out for a drive and it gets up to temperature if I turn it off and go to start it again it really takes a while of turning the engine over for it to catch.

Would really appreciate it if someone had any idea what it could be……many thanks in advance.

Chris

I know it sounds daft but try pulling out the cold start lever...

I had this problem as the glow plugs do not come on when hot then use the cold start lever to advance the pump. This can be symptomatic of a worn pump (i fitted a new pump) or bad timing or even low compression.
