Cooling system pressurised

Hi all,

I think that the cooling system on our van (Gloria) may be running over pressure! It's had new everything except expansion bottle and cap and it is the old style.

The pipes when got are a bit too stiff for my liking, anyone had any experience of this?

I'm fairly sure it's not HG as it's a new engine and doesn't use any oil or water.

Old expansion cap?

Any ideas appreciated.

Cheers

Chris

Yes check/change the cap, it should quack when you blow if its the darlek type

can be air in the system or a head seal failure if not the cap, new engines can fail as well as old ones so dont rule it our

ever thought of mentioning your engine type?

It's Diesel, sorry. I will order a new cap from BWks. It's the older metal type so can't really test to easily. Thanks let's hope it's not the engine!!
