Hi has anyone come across the problem on 1600 td I have. When u put ignition on oil light comes on for a second and then goes out replaced the blue switch on back of head but still the same. Then when running starts flashing and the dreaded buzzer kicks in. Replaced the oil pump last year when I did the sump gasket just because I had sump out so think oil pressure is good. Thanks.

Oil pump rarely problem ref oil pressure.. only change when rebuilding normally.
TD oil pressure can be ends mains intermediate shaft brgs or top end or even turbo brgs/seals
A worn engine is a worn engine...
Get a remote test gauge attach to main oil gallery and check with the specs in Wiki when cold but more importantly when at 80C.
You are looking at about 0.9 bar (idle) but importantly at least 2 bar at 2000 rpm when at 80C
Its possible for the pod speedo DOPW sensing device to go bad and always buzz and of course uses the tacho signal.
A separate gauge in the cab is alwasy a good idea with TDs esp. in hot weather and heavy loads. Take it easy!
