Reconditioned engine needed - any recommendations?

Hi,
Unless I go for Flintstone power or even a cart horse, I'm going to need a reconditioned engine for my T25 (1983 water cooled, 1.9l petrol). I've heard of Elite VW, I'm just wondering if there's anyone closer to Manchester / Cheshire that anyone would recommend? Is it better to get the supplier to fit the engine - just in case there are any issues with it?
