Hi there, I have a 1990 t25 dieselband in looking for a service manual for it... al I can find is this

That's for a petrol t25 so it's no good to me right? Or is it more or less the same ?? Cheers in advance

The Bible of all things T25 is the Bentley manual, its expensive in its printed form, but there is usually a "not quite legal" electronic copy to be found.

The Haynes is OK for all the mechanicals and electricals on your van.(other than the engine and engine ancillaries.)
Just Kampers do a pocket guide that covers diesels,

As above, most of the information on general servicing is very similar, but the only way you'll get a Haynes for your engine is if you can find one for another vehicle that might have had the same engine fitted.

Best thing would be to get hold of a copy of the Bentley manual, and then if you drop me a PM I've got a PDF of some VW service information for the standard diesel engines as fitted to the T25.

Thanks for your help, I tried that link but it says I cant access that!?

Okay another thing I should of mentioned is my engine isn't the original vw engine, I just wanted to get more information on the basic stuff like how to change the oil and general maintenance. I'm not the most experienced person with mechanics but I have a little common sense... i think

The JK one is pretty good in my opinion and does not just cover the engine. Comes with a handy European diesel wiring diagram which the other manuals don't have. About 125 pages and A5 sized so quite compact. Make sure you get it from JK themselves as there are a few chancers on ebay selling it for up to 3 times as much.

The Haynes blue one should cover most of the other bits of your late van. Out of the two I'd say that is the better choice if you are new to vehicle maintenance as there are a few sections explaining the basics. The Haynes green manual more use for those with early diesels. Still does not cover the engine but has more detail than the blue one in the electrical and transmission chapters as no need to cover all the differences between early and late vans (suspension, fuseboxes etc). That one best getting second hand not new as I think it is an import nowadays.

Don't forget the wiki here too as there is lots of useful info there covered in more detail than what you will find in the manuals.
