Hi

Have just changed the Autobox gasket and refilled with new Fluid

Problem is though , it now reverses at a snails pace(literally) the engine over revs if try to accelerate but drives forward fine

Any ideas ?

Although i have an auto,i have not come across this problem.If you have no luck on here,You could try posting your problem on TheSamba.com website as the Americans have a lot more knowledge of autos.

What colour was the original fluid and did it smell burnt!
It will be possible clutch plates inside the box.
