does any one know how many rhd t25 westfalias were imported to the u.k we are cuurently restoring my friends and have been looking for others for some time now,the van is a 84 1.6d pop top it had one previous owner and has all original documentaion including bill of sale and the westfalia options and price list sheet, it was sold by a company in stafford but they no longer exist and yes it is genuine although it is not as well equipped as a german spec westy (naturally)any one else out there with one as we would be keen to hear from you there must be more than one

Maybe not made at the factory, but It's conceivable that some might have been converted to RHD.

I did read somewhere that a few were kit-built over here by a UK firm, the vans and interiors were sent as a kit of parts, and they were then fitted out as per Westy instructions.

Is the fridge / sink / cooker unit on the nearside or the offside? Also, which side is the rear cupboard/wardrobe unit on?

this is correct although it was very expencive and westfaila didn't approve of the way they were being fitted so they stopped making the kits shortly after they started!

all the cupboards are made espacially for it the sliding door is on the nearside and all the units are on the off side as they would be in any RHD camper ,i take it from all the guessing and speculating that nobody actually knows much about this bus or how many were built, all the documentation is original westfalia identicle to what i have had on my many lhd westys i have owned just that it is all in english the roof is also a factory job and has not just had a hole chopped in to it by a dealership,we will upload some pictures when it comes back from paint we are also getting a 1.9 TDi ready to go in as well

Hi, I own the RHD Joker in question!

The sink/fridge/cooker is on the o/s and the rear cupboard is on the n/s. Its got no built in water tank or gas, instead having a gas bottle under the seat and a 10ltr water bottle under the sink. Its registered at a Westfalia not a VW on the logbook and I have sales brochures and options sheets from the original supplier (Travelworld of Stafford). Heard somewhere that they only made 17 of them. Anyone know any more?

I suppose the sink/fridge/cooker unit may well be the same as the LHD anyway, it looks like it could be fitted either way. Is the fridge at the lower left of the unit, with a storage cupboard on the right?

I think the base vehicle would have had the roof hole cut at the factory when being made anyway, even when shipped to Westfalia in Germany for conversion.

Pics would be good :)

Think that's a combination of bent rear bumper and the lawn!
