How do I find my engine code after it was replaced?

Hi guys and girls, it's been a while but I have come back to T25 ownership! I have bought a caravelle which has been converted from a 2.1 petrol to a 1.9 TDI engine it's from an R reg golf. I'm trying to find the code your input would be greatly appreciated, thanks Sarah
