There are ways you can use LPG with diesels to gain economy and power but I don't know the details. Maybe someone else can help?

A diesel engine can be converted to run on LPG, its just such a hassle and huge amount of work, it aint worth it.

There is something about putting a percentage of LPG in with the diesel fuel, I had a link to it once, but I can't find it now.

Steve

they don't dip, they scrape your exhaust, where traces of veg oil could remain, as long as 2 weeks

If you wanna run on SVO or WVO, just declare it, reckon it is well worth it.

vedg oil.

(1) yes and it adds/increases bhp/torque by a fair old dollop aswell (unlike with petrol engines)
(2) we get regular C+E road checks near me , will dip ya tank or run some out of the drain or split a line in the engine bay. if anyone from one village gets done you can guantee they will hang about for a while and do the whole village over a week or so. red also stains anything it touches (hence detectable dye) as for veg ? dunno if there is a test yet . i GUESS VOSA/feds/C+E could get ya tank contents analysed if they wanted to.

LPG + Diesel... the magical combination?

Here is a detailed answer to the LPG + Diesel question....

http://www.ilovesponge.com/spongecars/diesel/diesel.htm

It looks like a wonderful combination! :D BUT it is early days and the cost to install will be at least £2000 (see http://www.ilovesponge.com/spongecars/d ... lquote.htm for costs) in my view, maybe more as the technology is brand new.

The main focus of this technology is for trucks as they use a lot of fuel each year so 30% saving in fuel costs is huge for them.

Anyone out there who has done this yet?
