The front numberplate on my 1986 T25 has been damaged. Is it possible to get a replacement with the older wide letters (2 1/4 inch) rather than the current type? The new typeface doesn't look right to me on an old vehicle.

Careful, I started looking at pressed plates for a while. Most are only sold as 'show plates' so not road legal. There is a website called dubmeister that sells road legal pressed and they have some blurb about it all.
Basically if you can buy a reg plate without showing various paperwork its likely not legal.

The damaged one is a standard reflective one, not pressed, but with the old wide letters. I have only been offered the new narrow font so far.

Legally, all numberplates supplied since 2001 HAVE to conform to the current standards. Only "not for road use" plates can be supplied that use the old font or white/silver on black for old stuff.

Thanks for the replies. I have found that Plate-maker do the old font, not for road use.
I have obtained a pair, purely for decoration, of course, and they are excellent.
