Oil filter should be standard diesel type, have you got the water-cooled oil cooler fitted?
Heater plugs will be standard VW diesel type.
Air filter - anybodys guess, have you got the standard turbo air filter box fitted? Flat panel or big tube?
Fuel filter - 2 types, early and late, have a look on Just Kampers for model years and pictures of the 2 types of filter.
Relay - has it still got the OE black plastic box at the back left (clutch end) of the engine bay?

Cheers,
defo a JR (turbo code motor) with no turbo!
Oil pump/filter with water cooler
Redone the fuel filter (late type) with valve as it was leakin
As you said injs, plugs, filters atc all appear to be the same across the oil burner range for 80-90 thanks VW!

Gonna speak to VW and see what its gonna take (parts wise & £) to convert it back after they confirm that my engine was produced with a turbo.

You will need :

turbo (obviously, £400 outright from one of the German specialists)
you need to know that you have a turbo inlet manifold
all rubber hoses and connectors to re-connect the air filter to the turbo inlet (bank on £100 new from VW)
turbo header pipe for the exhaust £40
turbo oil feed pipe and oil return pipe £60
have you got the T25 turbo D oil sump fitted with the return fitting at the bottom?

Try Synchro-nuts or some of the other breakers who post on here for a full second-hand set-up, will be less cost, BUT turbo needs to be a good `un :) Mine just cost £380 to re-con :( all because the inlet rubber fitting to the turbo was heat-perished and had split (I only recently bought the `van so hadn`t crawled underneath to inspect that bit in the gloom), a lump broke away and went through the turbo impellor and bent the vanes, I would definitely make sure that the inlet hoses are in mint condition and VERY clean if you buy second-hand ones, a £35 rubber fitting cost me a turbo!)
