Should I have got the peening nut. I just got two bearings from GSF should I take it back or is it something I need to get separate if so where? my current one has been done about 6 times!

separate order bob, last time i needed one it came from euro car parts at the costly sum on 2 pound summat. im sure they should only be used twice at the most not 6 times!

the bentley says never re-use them

the wiki says
"The front wheel bearings are correctly ajusted by slowly tightening the hub nut so that when all the lift has been taken off the taper bearings you should be somewhere near a split pin hole: carefully tighten to the first split pin hole you come to after you have taken up all the lift, always use the correct size split pin, and Never slacken the nut back to suit."

although i think this needs correcting

No Bob they are a seperate purchase. It is worth replacing the rear seal at the same time. You can get both from GSF.Also you need to use the right spec. grease. If you are up for it you might consider replacing the caliper seals while you have gone this far. If you do, dont do what I did and buy a set for each caliper. One set does both sides and is also available from GFS.
Note about GFS
Online they dont list type25 for air cooled but if you enter water cooled they do???

I have some general purpose morris which says OK for high pressure wheel bearings and I have some lithium based, is lithium the stuff?

According to the Haynes manual page 13.. Multi purpose lithium based grease. So get greasin'.
