Hi Chaps

Thinking of getting a set of wheels that are fitted with

225 / 45 R17 94W extra Load Continentals

Main question is are these tyres capable for my 1990 T25 Autohomes Komet?

:ok

Capable and legal if you are involved in an accident are two different things.
94 rating is equal to 500kg per corner (1000kg across the axle) most T25's have a max rear axle load of 1400kg which would make 96 the lowest load rating.
The original 'option tyre' (205/70 R14C) had a 97 or 98 rating....185R14C typically 99/101

Chances are those Conti's will work fine, that's right up until you are involved in an accident and your/there insurance company looks at every way it can avoid paying out on a claim. Tyres are the first thing they look at, irrespective of whether they were a contributory factor in the accident. You will be left high and dry without insurance (same goes for the wheels, which also carry a load index).
