Going to be living in the van :? and have the usual thermo curtains and thick rug, loads of jumpers an blankets and a gas heater. Any1 got any idea on how to insulate the van itself or any other ideas.(apart from wait till summer an take my speedos :D )was lookin on the weather map an was -4 there the other night

I prefer shagging to warm us up much more fun than heaters :D

we use an 1800 propex from bluebird very hot and also thermastatically controlled.

its a little bit noisy when it cuts in but after a while you dont even notice it

we wouldn't be without it now to be honest.

probably the best buy in our van.

Cheers Dave, i was thinkin along that line. Would like a blown desiel heater but they are a bit pricey, can buy a lot of jumpers an go out on the pull for a fair while wit nearly a grand!! How cum they are sooo expensive? are they made of gold or summit?

Have looked on ebay. Is the wrong time of year now to be thinkin bout buyin a bargain heater :( Did notice tho that the 24v ones are considerably cheaper than 12. There must be a way to jump my feed from 12-24? I have a 240 invertor they must do 1 sumwhere?

Just wire up two 12v leisure if you really want heat from 24v but it will end in tears!

It might....sure beats buffing up brass to get warm

I bet it takes Jed longer to 'buff his brasses' than it takes you to 'light your propex' though Kev.

ah yes that may be the case...but then I do have that "choice".... switching it on or turning it on.........eh shep?
