Does anyone know where to find a diagram to fit a 12v submersible pump that attaches to the tap? We are dumb!

does the tap have a switch on it?

Take a live via a fuse to the pump..... Then take the neg via the (tap) switch to the neg connection on the pump.
If it really is one of those taps with a switch on, I suggest you use a automotive relay as well, those switches don't seem to last long .

OK so what turns the pump on?

is it the tap or another switch?
or are there any wires to the tap?

It came with the campervan, unused and not plumbed in to anything.

Take a wire from the positive terminal of your battery via a fuse, to either terminal on the switch on the tap. Take another wire from the other terminal on the switch on the tap to the positive wire of the pump. Finally take the negative wire on the pump, to the negative terminal of your battery. Job done..
