LED values

I've been overhauling my dash after the white/blue led packed up 1986 petrol w/cooled. I've bought new LEDs for reds,green and white/blue, but they don't work. I been looking in the CPC and RS catalogues and have noticed there's loads of different ones. Does anybody know what value LEDs I need ?
Red, green, and white/blue.
ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED :?

They're not LEDs I'm afraid. That's why you're not having any joy. They're small bulbs with different colour caps over the top. Had to replace my blue full beam one recently so went through all this. Brickwerks sell a full proof replacement. I'll grab the link now.

You have most probably connected them the wrong way round! Positive is the longer leg on a new one. There is a flat spot on the negative side of the lens at the base.
It is only the high beam blue that is a bulb (other than the alternator charge light) as there were no blue leds around at the time.

Thanks for you posts, but it's the actual values of the LEDs I'm after i.e; what voltage each colour is after the resistors
Red 12v, 470 ohms = ?v
Green 12v, 470 ohms = ?v
White/blue 12v 270 ohms= ?v

Price of LEDs in cpc/rs 10p each. Just need to now what the voltage of LEDs are after being reduced.

LED's are a current device not voltage. The resistor is there to limit the current at the voltage supplied.
If you see LED,s sold as a voltage device it is because the correct value of resistor is already fitted to it to run on that voltage.
You just need a standard LED.

It seems I've bought some that are reduced and then the resistors are trying to do it again. Thanks again for clearing that up.
