Brake pedal hard - servo hose replaced

Just lately my brake pressure has been hard instead of a gentle progressive pressure. When pressing the pedal twice the pressure kicked in when the pedal was higher up. Not right. So with these symptoms I ordered a replacement top quality servo hose from Brickwerks.
On my way to work I took the van into Chiswick Car Craft to sort it out. Picked it up in the evening and what a difference. Brakes back to normal and the engine is pokier too - no air getting in. The old hose was probably 30 years old and the rubber was perished. It was about to fail completely. Another brake and engine power problem prevented.

Changed mine as well for a Brickwerks one. Old one looked fine on top, but was deteriorating underneath - was a right bugger to get off as well!

Forgot to mention that there was a Caravelle at the garage on Wednesday getting an
MOT. Anybody from the forum?

There is also a shiny 1956 split screen Morris Minor imported from New Zealand being re-wired and serviced there too. Looks great. Evidently it had been in a garage over there for 30 years. About to become a tidy run about!
