Hi all. Need some advice just to maks sure of conections on my fridge. Just bought camper with a fridge that didn't work. Took it out and sorted the wireing, all good. Just one question on the flue for the gas connection. It has a "T" piece on the top with a piece of alley corrigated tube on one end going to outlet on side of van but nothing on the other end. I'm thinking this needs to be sealed up or else fumes will enter the van! Is this correct?

Do not seal it. It is there for a reason. Heat from the fridge causes the burnt gas to rise, it then exits through the outlet pipe drawing air through the open end of the "T" section to dilute the gas and help the flow.
I think I have got that right, if not a more knowledgeable member will correct me.

One other question. Do I need a regulator or do I run it direct from gas bottle?

yes you do need a regulator

Grant ... your regulator is governed by the type of gas and gas bottle you are using. Some are screw on some, are clip on. Make sure you are using the correct fitting (regulator) for your bottle. If you are not sure about this get advice from your local bottle gas supplier or local caravan dealer. But most of all dont bodge anything... Be safe.

--you cant use the wrong regulator because only the correct one will fit that gas bottle--bear in mind if you want to camp thru the winter you will need to use propane gas in red bottles & not butane in blue bottles which will not work at low temperature-the smallest calor propane bottle is ideal--
